Increase your download limit in Firefox

Increase your download limit in Firefox
Did you know that web browsers like Internet Explorer and Firefox only allow you have two downloads going at once?

How am I supposed to flex my broadband muscles if I'm restricted like that?

Want to up that count? Well, you can!

...at least in Mozilla Firefox, you can.

Just type “about:config” in your address bar, minus the quotes.

In the next screen you'll want to find the line: network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server .

Double click on it and change the value to as many as you'd like. Try to stay within reason, though; say 8 downloads at once.

There, you have broken the chains of your download cap! Now get out there and transfer some stuff!

I love breaking the rules, don't you? Don't forget to comment...
